Jeff,
I was in on the vote that limited Titan fury/f6 and Inzer rage/rage x to single ply. it was plane to see that for most people the single ply Titans and Inzer rage series shirts were equal to or better then the old double denim close neck shirts. The exception to the rule are guys like Matt and Ken who go very big in Karins shirts. There is no way even a great raw lifter could compete against the Open or Elite single ply lifters in WABDL, and in most cases they would not have a pray in the other divisions as well. WABDL has over 3,000 lifters in it right now which would make it the second biggest fed in all of powerlifting, and the current rules are the major reason why. I to trust the lifters to make the right choice, and WABDL will be my federation no matter how the vote comes out.

Basically It has to do with rankings, people are'nt getting ranked for the lifts they do in a single ply shirt because of the few double ply's the wabdl allows. I voted for single ply. Not because of the rankings, first and formost I lift for me, not the rankings, the rankings and the records just give you something to shoot for but there definitly not as important as a PR. In hindsight I think the Wabdls should just leave things the way they are. I meen What about the existing records that are already there that have been set in a double ply, What are you going to do, put an asterick on it?? Either way I'll support whatever happens, I've never used a double-ply but If that's what they decide thats what I'll do.I believe in Gus and the Wabdl and think they'll do whats best for its members

My Vote is to keep things as they are. I have lifted in a katana single ply, i also made the powerlifting.com top 50 list, although they say it was a double ply catagory ...I am planning on using a Karin's this year, A Wabdl legal and approved type. Having no lift in a double ply and a 540 in a single ply Katana i'm not in a position to judge which is better. So there is my 2 cents..of course it's not worth what it once was, I vote to keep things the way they are, I enjoy lifting in Wabdl have tried a couple other feds and the conditions just don't add up as they do here in Wabdl...In the End what ever keeps Wabdl strong, then i'm for it.

My vote is to keep the bench shirt rules the same as they are now. Why open up another can of worms when too many of them have gotten out of the can now, gumming things up.

I think it should be all single ply. I see alot of lifters get outbenched by 200 to 300 lbs in there divisions. It is not fair. If everyone is lifting in a single ply,I think every division would be more competitive.

I like single ply as well... I sure hope we don't go to double ply! If we do my benching days in WABDL will be over.
