Texas State Meet

Postby CobyWashburn on Mon Feb 21, 2011 2:02 am

Congrats to everyone that lifted this weekend. Specifically, I want to congratulate David on his SR and Big Keith for going 4 for 4. David I really enjoyed the post meet beer and mexican food, I look forward to doing it again soon.

Thanks Coby for the compliment. I think everyone did a great job at this meet. It's sometimes difficult to get ready for a early meet in the year but thats why we do what we do. The atmosphere was great and the lifting from everyone was energetic. Alot of prs, states, and some world records even at this meet would fire anyone up. I would tell you the post meet was even better. Alot of Mexican and alot of suds, again thanks for the treat. Hey, lets get ready again cause Big Bad Keith Sayles is fired up for the next one. Great job on what you did at the meet. You are a great competitor and even a better friend. Good luck, and I will see you at the next one. :D

I want to thank David R. Smith for training me well enough so I could be successful at the first meet of the year. David R. Smith has once again proven to not only be a fantastic powerlifter but also an excellent powerlifting trainer and coach. Thanks Dave, for helping me afford the new Bench Shirt. Tiny Meeker also gave me some well thought out advice on powerlifting that aided in my success. Tiny, thanks for the help you gave me on the Bench Shirt and for your nice comments at the award presentation, even though I could not be there to hear them. Tiny Meeker puts on fantastic Powerlifting Meets and if you have never competed in one you are missing a lot.
