WABDL is not the only federation to do this. I had a Masters bench record in the UPA, but since I didn't pay for the Open division, I didn't get the Open record. I currently have a Master bench record in WABDL that is over 100# higher than the Open record(Illinois State). Doesn't make sense to me, but I lift to beat myself anyway. PR's are what its about.
Ok bro perhaps I should state WABDL IS IN THE MINORITY FROM THE FEDS I HAVE COMPETED IN, IN REGARDS TO THIS. I agree with you on one thing bro, PRs are certainly very important, but when I am on the world platform, the ONLY thing that matters to me, being in the OPEN division, is VICTORY. I have won a few world titles on bodyweight, 3 I believe, and another couple by just a KG, but a win is a win is a win!
