Bench Shirt

Postby whobbs on Fri Jun 01, 2012 4:18 pm

I have a Titan Fury Bench shirt. I assume it's broken in due to me using it in a meet last year. Ive been trying to make it consistent enough to where it won't hover. This is the problem. My shirt hovers and is inconstant. Any answers for solving this problem. The last meet I went to, in Houston, I decided to go raw because of the inconsistency of the shirt.
Also I have a Titan Velocity deadlifting suit, that wil not allow me to get down to the bar. I get so tired once I bend over to pick up the bar, all my energy is lost. Any suggestions on both topics will be appreciated. Thanks

Do you mean your bench shirt rides up? If so, have someone hold it down while putting on a belt.
Would the D/L suit be the wrong size?

When the weight goes down, it, the bar, hovers and won't touch my chest. I can't get it to touch. Guess it needs to be broken in more. My deadlifting suit was custom made, I went in and was measured. I deadlift conventional and have a hard time getting down to the bar.

Thanks for the reply.

Try benching without a belt and don't jack the shirt down to much in the front. Letting the shirt ride up a bit should make it easier to touch, this should help break it in. Once you get to touching consistantly, jack it down and belt it into place. I have a Velcity deadlift suit to, not a custom made one, but it is still tough to get down to the bar. Something that works for me is to dive hard to the bar and grab it with 1 hand in the center and pull myself down then set my free hand then move the other 1 out to where you want it. Don't spend anymore time at the bottom position than you need to. Grip and rip. Hope this helps.

I tried it and it works. I did have to pull the sleeves up more, but I got a 20lb increase on my shirt. Thanks.
